Out of its belief that the role of faculty members should not be limited to scientific activities inside the University Campus, the unit’s doctors have expanded their activities now to include contacting several authorities and associations that serve the society to exchange experience, hoping to provide better services for the hearing-impaired individuals. These authorities include:

• Ministry of Health
• National Health Insurance
• WHO
• UNICEF
• The National Council for Childhood and Motherhood
• Integrated Care Associations
• Doctors’ Syndicate Relief Committee
• Nidaa society for hearing impaired (NGO)

Field studies were also performed to study noise, its effect on school students, traffic policemen, printing press workers (one of which was Al Ahram Newspaper printing press), and audio scans were done in a number of Governorates such as: Cairo, Ismailia, Sharqia.
